Endowment
Educational endowment funds are usually measured on a per student basis. Prep’s endowment fund, valued on June 30, 2008 at $5,014,133, amounts to $14,326 per student. Despite impressive gains over the last decade, this figure is substantially less than the $25,098 average of other independent schools in the Southwest.
To keep Prep competitive, and to maintain our commitment to excellence, it is essential that the endowment continue to increase through new gifts, particularly planned gifts.
Prep’s endowment funds are pooled for investment purposes, but there are more than a dozen funds that are either designated for particular uses or named to honor or memorialize a particular individual. Please contact the Advancement Office at 505-795-7526 if you would like further details on how such funds are created and managed.
