Roughly 75% of our faculty have advanced degrees in their field, and the average tenure of our faculty is over 15 years.  Our administration is structured to support the teaching faculty and the many programs of our school.  Many administrators also teach classes, coach sports, or volunteer for TAP, our service learning program.

School Counselor

Santa Fe Prep seeks a strengths-based licensed counselor who is eager to join a professional, dynamic, and ambitious faculty. We are a diverse learning community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive and creative pedagogy, and deep content are foundational to our purpose.

Primary job responsibilities include: providing mental health services to students in grade 7-12, serving collaboratively on student support teams, developing and implementing health and wellness curriculum and programming for students, faculty, and parents (e.g., Middle School Life Skills classes, Upper School Forums), facilitating students groups (e.g., Peer Mentors, GSA), and participating in the experiential/outdoor program as requested.

Qualifications: A master’s degree in counseling or social work is required. Preferred candidates will have experience working with a diverse student population as well as experience in family therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Successful candidates should be connectors with strong organizational and team-building skills. They should also have a background in crisis management and interventions (universal, selective, and indicated), maintain strong personal boundaries, and be able to  navigate challenging situations.
