English Teacher

Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks an Upper School English teacher who is eager to inspire students and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. We are a diverse learning community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive and creative pedagogy, and deep content are foundational to our purpose.

Primary job responsibilities include teaching 4-5 sections of English (with a focus on American literature in the eleventh grade). In addition, all full-time teachers lead a community service group, participate in grade-level retreats at the beginning and end of the year, advise a student club, actively contribute as a member of a grade-level team, and serve as advisor to 6-10 students per year. Beginning August, 2021.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree and three years or more of teaching experience at the secondary school level is preferred. Preferred candidates will also have experience guiding/mentoring students outside the classroom.

Assistant to the Division Heads

The Assistant to the Division Heads is an integral member of the administrative support staff team. The individual reports to and works closely with the Middle and Upper School Heads to support the school’s mission and culture and to ensure the smooth operation of the school. Responsibilities include: scheduling appointments for the division heads, organizing events, sending correspondence to the school community, administering middle school standardized testing, coordinating student paperwork, tracking attendance for clubs and academic workshops, helping with front desk coverage as needed, and working collaboratively and closely with other members of the administrative support team. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well with a wide variety of constituents, and a strong sense of professionalism. The individual should be flexible, detail-oriented, improvement-minded, have excellent planning and computer skills, and be sensitive to confidential matters.

Prior experience and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Part-Time Advancement Associate

The Advancement Associate reports directly to the Director of Advancement and provides executive assistance to the Advancement Office. This individual promotes positive donor relations, and helps identify, cultivate, and solicit contributions to the school. Completes other duties as requested.

Responsibilities include: managing database, updating and completing data entry for constituent records including addresses, gifts, and pledges; creating monthly giving reports; generating donor acknowledgments; reconciling gift and grant totals with business office on a monthly basis; and pulling reports on constituents as needed and requested for fundraising and stewardship.

The ideal candidate will have database management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related applications (experience with Senior Systems preferred); strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills; pride in quality and accuracy of work; detail orientation; and strong work/personal ethics and skills in diplomacy and discretion.

Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience are preferred.
