Roughly 75% of our faculty have advanced degrees in their field, and the average tenure of our faculty is over 15 years.  Our administration is structured to support the teaching faculty and the many programs of our school.  Many administrators also teach classes, coach sports, or volunteer for TAP, our service learning program.

Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks teachers eager to inspire students and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. We are a diverse learning community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive and creative pedagogy, and deep content are foundational to our purpose.

Primary job responsibilities for full-time teachers include teaching 4-5 sections of classes. In addition, all full-time teachers lead a community service group, participate in grade-level retreats at the beginning and end of the year, advise a student club, actively contribute as a member of a grade-level team, and serve as advisor to 6-10 students per year. Part-time teachers will teach 2-3 sections and have additional responsibilities as well.

All teaching positions begin August, 2019.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in the relevant academic discipline is required. A master’s degree and three years or more of teaching experience at the secondary school level is preferred. Preferred candidates will also have experience guiding/mentoring students outside the classroom.

Associate Director of the Library
Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks a full-time librarian eager to inspire students and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. Primary job responsibilities include: teaching the library curriculum, working with faculty on classroom projects, creating research guides, managing the inter-library loan program, cataloging and processing materials, performing circulation and reference desk duties, and working with the Director and parent volunteers to ensure a positive learning environment for students grades 7-12.

This is a faculty position. All full-time faculty also lead a community service group, participate in grade-level retreats at the beginning and end of the year, advise a student club, and serve as advisor to 6-10 students per year.

To begin August 14, 2019.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required; MLS and experience at the secondary school level is strongly preferred.

Associate Director of Admissions

Santa Fe Prep seeks an Associate Director of Admissions to work closely with our Director in achieving the school’s enrollment goals. Successful candidates will have (minimum) a BA degree, experience in an independent school environment or a background in marketing, and enthusiasm for working with teenagers.
