Santa Fe Prep Model UN

Twenty-two Santa Fe Prep students attended the 54th annual New Mexico Model United Nations Session in November, where Prep delegates represented the countries of Lebanon, Malaysia, and Finland. This event is held at the Round House every year, and Prep competed against high schools from around the state. Our students did an outstanding job working on resolutions to solve real world problems such as the migration/immigration in Europe, international terrorism, and climate change.

Prep students took home several awards this year including:

General Assembly, Lebanon: Outstanding Delegation (Judge’s Choice), Best Delegation (Delegate’s Choice)
Human Rights Committee, Lebanon: Honorable Mention
–
Legal Committee, Finland: Honorable Mention
Legal Committee: Best Female Delegate: Amanda Jacobs ’16
–
General Assembly: Outstanding Delegate (Judge’s Choice), Mike Laposata ’16

A press committee put together reports and interviews for this years session that can be found by clicking here: http://issuu.com/nmmunpc
