Nia Moquino ’19 Recipient of David Ginocchio Endowed Scholarship Fund

The David Ginocchio Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 by Anita and Joseph Ginocchio in memory of their son David, who attended Prep in 1982-1983. Its primary purpose is to provide financial aid for Native American students and, secondarily, for students from other underrepresented groups. This year, we were honored to give the award to Nia Moquino ’19 from Tesuque Pueblo.

Nia is a 9th grader whose teachers describe her as a conscientious student with an impeccable work ethic. This summer Nia had the opportunity to attend a college preparatory summer program in Massachusetts. She always strives to fully understand what she is learning, and her participation as a Breakthrough student and in Massachusetts last summer demonstrates her desire to challenge herself and prepare well for college. Proud of you, Nia.
