Prep’s new coop baseball team finished their season yesterday with a double win over Pecos JV. The first game ended on a strike-out by pitcher Phil Vander Wolk, his 15th of the game. The second game was highlighted by timely hitting and Ben Loftin going 3 for 4. Brian Lewis pitched a strong game, allowing only two hits.
According to coach Jesse Myers, “It was a fitting end to a very successful first season. From day one, the players had a positive attitude and were up for the challenge of representing three different schools on one baseball team.” The team finished with a 6-2 record for the season.
