Mamma Mia! Competing For Top Honors At Enchantment Awards

Santa Fe Prep is proud to celebrate the talents and accomplishments of the Performing Arts Department: This year’s Upper School Musical, Mamma Mia!, has been nominated for Best Musical, Best Direction, and Best Ensemble by the New Mexico High School Theatre Awards (also known as the Enchantment Awards). In addition, six of our performers have been nominated for Best Actor/Actress (Rowan Dwyer ’20, Tabby Hirsch ’20, and Rafaella Mark ’21) and Best Supporting Actor/Actress (Gabe Falkner ’19, Eliza Hillenkamp ’19, and Urian Vasquez ’21). Santa Fe Prep is the only high school in northern New Mexico whose cast is competing for these state-wide awards.

This awards event features the theatrical accomplishments of New Mexico’s high school performers in a mini-Tony Awards-style show, which will be held Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 pm at Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque. Competing for Best Actor and Best Actress awards, twenty nominees from across New Mexico will perform together in several medleys, as well as singing solos. Winners go on to New York to perform on the Broadway stage.

This is the biggest celebration of high school musical theater arts in New Mexico and is a remarkable achievement for the cast. Please join them on May 4 to celebrate and witness their encore performance at this prestigious theater.
