Juniors Qualify for National Merit Program

Nine Prep juniors have met the requirements to enter the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program as a result of their high scores on the PSAT, the practice SAT test administered to all juniors in October.

Lauren Buchanan, Kevin Carlson, Coleman Chandler, Emily Hickmott, Molly Leonard, Seth Montgomery, Aly Raboff, Emily Talbot and Rob Weiner all scored in the top 3% nationally among some 1.5 million PSAT test takers across the country and are now eligible to move on in the competition.  The National Merit Scholarship Corporation, founded in 1955 to specifically conduct the annual scholarship program, awards nearly $35 million annually in college scholarships.
