In The Heights

Before there was Hamilton, there was Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first Broadway hit, In the Heights. Winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Musical, In the Heights is the story of three days in the life of a tight-knit Latino community in Washington Heights, Manhattan. The score features hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul music. Before the movie version comes out this summer, see the original musical! Prep’s production opens three weeks from today, on February 28 at 7:00 pm, with additional performances on February 29 at 7:00 pm and March 1 at 2:00 pm.

Urian Vasquez ’21, Rafaella Mark ’21, Arlise Rippel ’22, Angelina Friedrichs ’21, Margaret Tambke ’21, Mahko Haozous ’22, Sarah Boyle ’22, Hugo Underwood ’22 and Sophia Rivera ’22 also star in the cast of 23 that includes many of our Enchantment Award-nominated students and rising stars.
