Girls Win Cross Country State Championship!

Congratulations to our Girls Cross Country team, who finished their season as Class 3A State Champions for the first time in Santa Fe Prep history! Three of the team’s seven runners — who each wrote Taylor Swift song titles in glitter on their sleeves for inspiration — finished in the top six, with Pippa Barrett ’26 (“Fearless”) running a personal best 19 minutes, 10.95 seconds to take 2nd place. The championship win followed a district title, while the boys finished their season as district runners-up!

Across both teams, the additional All-State runners include Quinlan Dry ’25, who placed 3rd; Helen Desmond ’25, who placed 5th; and Sophie Bair ’26, who placed 6th.

Coaches Lis and Matt Desmond share, “We are extremely proud of the team, the cheering squads, and the Blue Griffin community! We want to thank all of our seniors! We ran hard for them!!!”

Congratulations to all of our runners!
