College Reps to Visit Prep

Over the next several weeks, more than 50 representatives from some of the country’s most prestigious and selective colleges will visit Santa Fe Prep, giving seniors and juniors an opportunity to interview, ask questions and hear first hand about a particular college experience.

Admissions reps from Brown, Stanford, Emory, Tufts, Rice, UPenn, Vassar, Harvard, George Washington and Pomona, among others, will be available on campus to meet with students, both individually and in groups.  According to director of college counseling, Jennifer Dryfoos, Prep is a popular destination for college recruiters.

“Prep students have a reputation for being dynamic, engaged and well prepared for college,” she explained.  “Colleges are also working to enroll students from all 50 states, and since New Mexico has a relatively low percentage of high school students going on to college, Prep is one of the first places in New Mexico these reps look to fill their classes,” Dryfoos continued.

A complete schedule is posted in the College Counseling lounge in the Library building.  Tips for visiting colleges and interviewing are available in the library as well.
