Classroom Spotlight: Science 7

Students in Robin Koval’s 7th grade science class performed eight water quality tests in the Santa Fe River: pH, dissolved oxygen, demand for oxygen, nitrates, phosphorus, temperature, turbidity, and coliform bacteria. The data is submitted to a study with the Rio Research Round-up, where schools from the US and Mexico collect data to learn more about the health of their local rivers. We’re proud of these students for learning about our local watershed and understanding how humans impact one of our most important resources.
