Advisory Conference Day

Friday, January 26th will mark Prep’s first advisory conference day.  Students will meet with their advisor and parents in 30 to 40-minute sessions to discuss the student’s overall experience at Prep.  According to head of school, Jim Leonard, the purpose behind holding the conferences is to create a more comprehensive dialogue among the advisor, parents and student through many “lenses,” including social, academic, extracurricular, leadership, etc.

“We are dedicating an entire school day to these conferences in the belief that this dialogue can be of great value in articulating a path to successful next outcomes—whether your child is a senior looking ahead to college, a 7th grader still getting settled at Prep, or somewhere in between,” said Leonard.

To schedule a meeting, parents should e-mail their student’s faculty advisor with preferred meeting times.  All faculty e-mail addresses are in the Prep directory.  Advisors will e-mail back with a specific time and place to meet.  If you have difficulty reaching your child’s advisor, please contact Darlene Garton in the front office, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Conferences will take place only on January 26th, and students must be present.
