Summer Programs 2016

Each summer, Santa Fe Prep offers exciting summer programming options. The theme varies from year to year, but our goal is to provide an engaging, stimulating summer program that lets kids learn while having fun.

This year, we are pleased to announce:

Discovery Summer Camp at Santa Fe Prep
Pics, Rocks, and Frocks!

Do you want to explore, create, discover, and have some adventure, too? If so, then we think our Discovery Summer Camp might be just what you are looking for! Have fun with science and art as you explore our beautiful New Mexico landscape hiking and photographing scenic, historic, cultural, and geologically significant trails and features in and around Santa Fe during the morning sessions. During the afternoon sessions, develop the photographs that you take with your very own self-made pinhole camera(s); then, mat and hand tint your favorite in Santa Fe Prep’s historic Meem art building! Participants keep their pinhole camera(s) and all photographs.

“3…2…1…Lift-off!”

Back by popular demand, this rocketry-themed camp has participants designing, constructing, and launching rockets whose goal is to reach, as closely as possible, a pre-determined altitude or deliver a “secret” payload successfully back to the surface. Campers keep all rockets that they construct and successfully recover!
