STUDENT WELLNESS
At Prep, collaboration between the School Counselor, Health Coordinator, Learning Services Department, administrative team, faculty, staff, and DEIJ Committee have led to new and ongoing social-emotional curriculum and school-wide programming. Facilitation of student leadership and affinity groups, as well as advocacy within and for the Prep community, are key elements contributing to a healthy climate and culture.
At Santa Fe Prep, we prioritize the holistic well-being of our students, integrating health and wellness into all aspects of school life. In close partnership with our families and the broader community, our comprehensive programming supports each student's physical health, mental clarity, and emotional resilience. By providing robust, built-in support and educational programming, along with accessible individual services, we empower students to explore the world around them with confidence, compassion, and care.

Wellness Team
Prep’s School Counselor, Juli Bray-Morris, is a licensed school mental health counselor as well as a licensed professional clinical counselor who provides holistic preventive and responsive counseling services and interventions for students and families. Services include confidential individual and family short-term counseling, prevention and early intervention services, crisis intervention, mediation, support groups, referral, and liaison services. School counseling services are accessed via student or parent request, identified needs, and referrals. When indicated, the Counselor's office may offer family consultation, care coordination, and referrals to counseling services outside of school.
Our Health Coordinator, Elizabeth Schwab, focuses on providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, acute health care services for students and staff on campus to support social, emotional, and academic well-being. This Health Coordinator's office also maintains health records, collaborates with families, Learning Services, and teachers regarding extended health-related absences or accommodations, provides education to students, families, and staff about health conditions and health practices, and refers to and collaborates with outside providers as needed. The Health Coordinator works closely with the Athletic Department to support athletes' health and well-being, with the Experiential Education Department to support Prep's off-campus trips and activities, with Learning Services for health-related student support plans, and with the School Counselor around somatic symptoms of mental health to provide wrap-around services and care for students.
