Santa Fe Prep has a rich history of using its campus and resources to support college attainment for students throughout Santa Fe, and now, across New Mexico. Over the past two decades, these programs have grown to represent an important part of what Santa Fe Prep stands for, not only as an independent day school, but as a vital member of the broader Santa Fe community.

Breakthrough Santa Fe
Breakthrough Santa Fe supports motivated middle and high school students across Santa Fe — whose identities are underrepresented in higher education — reach their dreams of attending college. Breakthrough has been hosted at Santa Fe Prep since its founding in 2004, and has served over 640 students all across Santa Fe. A six-year program serving 7th-12th grade students, 100% of Breakthrough Santa Fe students graduate from high school and 90% go on to college each year. Davis New Mexico Scholarship
Founded by former Santa Fe Prep Trustee Andrew Davis and wife Kathryn, the Davis New Mexico Scholarship provides full Cost of Attendance scholarships to first-generation college students from throughout Northern New Mexico. The program, which is now the largest private scholarship program in the state, is housed on Prep’s campus and is supported by the school’s administrative and fiduciary expertise. This unique arrangement has allowed the scholarship to grow to support over 250 students in their college journeys.
ROCA
Rural Opportunities for College Access New Mexico (ROCANM), was started as a partnership between Santa Fe Prep, Northern New Mexico College, and the LANL Foundation to bring the support and opportunities from Breakthrough Santa Fe and the Davis New Mexico Scholarship to students throughout rural New Mexico. ROCA is administered as part of the Davis New Mexico Scholarship, but hosts its own summer program for rising 12th grade students, followed by college and financial aid counseling throughout their senior years of high school.
Prep is a school with a strong record of college placement and a place of distinction among local and regional institutions. The Community Impact Board
The Community Impact Board reflects Santa Fe Prep's longstanding commitment to expanding access to educational opportunities in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. The Advisory Board — a collection of dedicated volunteers — brings together the leadership of Santa Fe Prep, Breakthrough Santa Fe, ROCA, and the Davis New Mexico Scholarship. The Advisory Board provides strategic direction, guides and supports development efforts, and strengthens the relationships between Santa Fe Prep’s Board of Trustees and these community-focused programs.
