Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association strengthens the School community through communications, community building among families, and support of the School and its students and staff. Through various events and activities, the PA raises funds to support tuition assistance, Breakthrough Santa Fe, and other school needs. Every parent at Prep is automatically a member of this active, inclusive, and vital part of our school community.
As a parent at Prep, you will be invited to a class coffee, where parents from a given grade level get together to discuss issues of concern to them: how to handle academic stress, the social challenges of middle school, new frontiers in technology for our kids, how to handle the “driving years” of high school, etc. You’ll also be invited to periodic parent education events, where local experts are invited to campus to provoke more in-depth discussion of certain topics.
Each year, the Parents’ Association helps to host our fall Parent Open House—a great window into the educational experience of their children. In the spring, the PA holds its annual fundraising gala—typically a dinner/dance and auction. Other annual Parents’ Association events include a spring rummage sale and the faculty/staff appreciation lunch.
Through all of these efforts, the Parents Association is able to donate upwards of $50,000 to the school each year. We encourage your active participation in PA events—join in!
