We’ve reached the winter solstice, the end of a great first semester of the school year, and a time for students and families, teachers and staff to take a step away from daily life at school. We all have much to celebrate–and much for which to be thankful. Everyone associated with Santa Fe Prep contributes to the pervasive sense of community that defines our school . . . and has from our earliest days, fifty years ago.
And the future for us all is full of hope. 15-month-old Calder Wood, SFP 2030 and son of Jesse Wood ’90 and Whitney, came by school the other day to scope things out (and left with the stuffed Griffin.) Calder’s sense of wonder seems a perfect recipe for this season, something we can all reclaim among family and friends and festivities.
Jesse is among the alumni artists participating in the Alumni Art Show, curated by Art Department Chair, Paula Castillo. If you are among Prep’s 1800 alumni, we hope you will join us for this year’s very special 50th edition Alumni Holiday Party, Friday, December 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the library.
To all, best wishes for a joyous holiday season.
