Dancing With The Santa Fe Stars 2015!

Another record breaker from the Parents’ Association! We had more people attend Dancing with the Santa Fe Stars at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Pavilion than any spring fundraiser, and guests never have had so much fun supporting Breakthrough and Tuition Assistance. Standing ovations, exclamations of excitement, rousing rounds of applause all greeted the dancers’ mesmerizing performances. A big congratulations goes to Adelma Hnasko ’92 and David Cohen for winning the popular vote and to Fay Kirby and Giacomo Zafarano for winning the judges’!

Our audience could not wait to get on stage themselves and they flooded the dance floor after being led by Danny Silver and our own Head of School Jim Leonard in “Uptown Funk”—click here for a playlist from the after-performance party and bring DWTSFS into your living room!

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors for their investment in our community:

Trophy:  Century Bank, and Thornburg Investment Management
Disco Ball:  Los Alamos National Bank
Sequins:  Daniels Insurance Inc., New Mexico Bank and Trust, PNM, Rosemont Realty, Santa Fe Imaging Center, Sundance Buyers Group/Todd and Krista Tyra, Deborah J. Trouw, CFP®, ADPA®/Waddell & Reed, and Jim Weyhrauch with Santa Fe Properties
Glitter:  Architectural Alliance Inc., Preston and Sayuri Matthews, New Mexico Gas Company, Santa Fe Advisors, LLC, Sarcon Construction, and Stedman/Kehoe/Hirsch Sotheby’s International Realty.

And thank you to our dancers and instructors who devoted hours to practicing and braved the judgement of their peers: Mayor Javier Gonzales and Annie Mullins, Adelma Hnasko ’92 and David Cohen, Fay Kirby and Giacomo Zafarano, Trey Naylor and Tara Debevec, Sheena Neese and Carlos Martinez, and Hugo Sena and Juana Marie Nava; as well as our MC, Bob Borden, and our four illustrious judges: Russell Baker, Catherine Oppenheimer, Valerie Plame, and Juan Siddi. We also thank our Co-Chairs Christine Lehman and Margaret Hennessey for their incredible time and talent, our Sponsorship Chair Sayuri Matthews, our committee, our tireless volunteers, Anne De May of Costumes! Ltd., who provided all the costumes, and Soren Peters ’92 for donating beer from Marble Brewery!

We raised close to $35,000 for Breakthrough and Tuition Assistance, and, due to demand, we are already planning next year!
